Why Give?

Service Day 2014

When you support Warren Wilson College, you help make the world a better place for all of us.

Your gift helps Warren Wilson College students make a difference in the Swannanoa Valley, in America, and around the world. Whether in the classroom, on a work crew, or through a service project, Warren Wilson students are making positive changes in themselves and in the world around them. Our students completed over 25,000 hours of community service just last year and have worked more than 10,000 hours in Gulf Coast relief efforts since the Katrina catastrophe. The percentage of our graduates entering the Peace Corps is among the highest in the nation. Learn more about how our graduates are making an impact.

Your support ensures that learning at Warren Wilson is purposeful, hands-on and meaningful. Through academics, work and service, Warren Wilson students gain a meaningful education that enables them to make a difference. Students learn in small classes and on work crews from faculty and staff who care greatly and challenge them to expand their minds. Our graduates most often go on to work as teachers, scientists or for non-profits, seeking meaningful work while pursuing environmental stewardship and service throughout their lives.

Your generosity assists Warren Wilson in being a leader in environmental stewardship and environmental education. Warren Wilson College students examine vital issues in an environmental studies program dating back to the late 1970s. In their classrooms, on their work crews and through community service, students learn to champion the practices that have earned the College the distinction “a living laboratory of sustainability,” as they work to secure a desirable future for generations to come.

When you make a gift to Warren Wilson College you are supporting the good our students, our staff and faculty and, later, our graduates do in the world. You help make the world a better place for all of us.

Thank you for believing in our students and the College!
