Warren Wilson College philosophy professor John Casey lost his battle with cancer Friday. His death was announced to the campus by email within hours. Warren Wilson College’s pool will open this fall. Renovations to the exterior structure are slated to begin in the coming days. The College hopes to open the doors in time for the 2017-18 swim team season.

The pool will have a new name, which the College will announce prior to the opening.
